Description
A Smith & Wesson .38 Military & Police Hand Ejector Revolver, Model of 1905, 3rd Change, chambered in .38 S&W Special CTG. The revolver is constructed of blued steel with checkered wooden grip panels featuring brass or gold-toned S&W medallions. The barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT’D MAR. 27.94” along with additional patent dates extending to “SEPT. 14.09”. A “TRADE MARK” logo with an S&W monogram is visible on the left side plate of the frame, complementing the grip medallions. The serial number “228033” is present on the butt of the grip and the cylinder, with an assembly number “4233” on the crane.
Condition report:
Fair condition. The blued finish exhibits significant wear and thinning, with scattered scratches and areas of light surface rust or patina, particularly on the frame. The wooden grips show general handling wear consistent with age and use.
