Description
This lot comprises five vintage boxes of Remington Kleanbore center fire rifle cartridges, totaling 100 rounds. The cardboard packaging, primarily green with variations in teal, orange, and brown, prominently displays ‘Remington Kleanbore’, ‘257 ROBERTS’ (with one box stating ‘.257 REMINGTON-ROBERTS’), ‘Hi-Speed’, and the ‘OU PONT’ logo. Further markings include ‘MADE IN U.S.A.’ and various numerical codes such as ‘5225’ and ‘R85’. Two boxes contain ‘100 Grain Mushroom Core-Lokt Bullet’ cartridges, while three boxes contain ‘100 Gr. Pointed Soft Point Core-Lokt Bullet’ cartridges. Each box is stated to contain ’20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges’. Opened boxes reveal brass-cased cartridges with copper-jacketed bullets, all bearing ‘REM-UMC 257 ROBERTS’ headstamps.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging exhibits signs of age-appropriate wear, including discoloration, scuffs, and some creasing. The cartridges themselves appear to be in good, unfired condition.
