Description
A Browning BPS Invector Field Model 12GA pump-action shotgun, constructed from blued steel with a dark reddish-brown wooden stock and fore-end, both featuring finely checkered panels. The barrel is equipped with a ventilated rib and is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN JAPAN,” along with “INVECTOR BPS SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4″ AND 3″ FIELD MODEL – 26″.” The buttplate is a textured brown synthetic material, bearing the marks “U.S. PATENT D191,449,” “BROWNING,” and “MADE IN U.S.A. (FOR BROWNING) BROWNING 6.” A serial number, “02130RN152,” is visible on the receiver. The shotgun features a 26″ barrel.
Condition report:
The firearm appears to be in generally good to very good condition, exhibiting a bright blued finish with minor handling marks and some light cosmetic wear on both the metal and wood components consistent with use.
