Description
A Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 ‘Highway Patrolman’ double-action revolver, chambered in .357 Magnum, featuring a 4″ barrel. The revolver features a blued steel finish and checkered black synthetic grips adorned with a gold-colored S&W monogram medallion. Visible markings include “SMITH & WESSON” on the left barrel, “.357 MAG. HIGHWAY PATROLMAN” on the right barrel, and “MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.” on the right side of the frame. The serial number “S276023” and model number “MOD. 28-2” are present on the frame when the cylinder is open.
Condition report:
Good used condition. The blued finish shows typical wear consistent with age and use, including minor surface scratches, edge thinning, and areas of patination, particularly on the hammer and trigger. The synthetic grips are intact with minor handling marks.
