Remington Arms Co. Pump-Action Rifle, .30 REM, with 24" Barrel
Description
A pump-action rifle manufactured by Remington Arms Co., Inc. in Ilion, N.Y., chambered in .30 REM, featuring a 24″ barrel. The barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” and includes patent numbers “1.043.864 – 1.044.566 – 1.071.176 – 1.072.582”. A patent date of “NOV. 5 1912” is visible on the twisted magazine tube. The receiver bears the serial number “C 34611” and an oval “REP” proof mark. The rifle is fitted with a LYMAN adjustable rear sight. It features blued steel components, a dark stained wooden buttstock, and a ribbed wooden pump-action forearm. A “REMINGTON UMC TRADE MARK” medallion is set into the stock, and the black checkered buttplate is molded with “Remington”.
Condition report:
Overall condition indicates significant use and age. There is extensive finish wear, prevalent surface patina, and minor pitting on the metalwork. The wooden buttstock and forearm exhibit numerous scratches, dents, and a visible crack in both sections.
