Description
A late 19th-century Smith & Wesson .32 Double Action Top-Break Revolver. The piece features a bright nickel or chrome-plated finish and black hard rubber or plastic grips with a checkered pattern and “S & W” trade mark medallions. The barrel is clearly marked “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A.” and includes patent dates: “PAT’D MAY 11. 1880. JAN. 8. 1883. APRIL 9. 1889.” The frame displays a circular “TRADE MARK” logo with the “S & W” initials. The serial number “196647” is present on the butt of the grip. It features an exposed hammer and a five-shot fluted cylinder that pivots upwards for loading and ejection.

Overall good condition for its age. Shows minor wear, surface scratches, and localized tarnishing to the plating, consistent with handling and time. Action appears functional.
