This lot features three vintage Winchester “Super Speed Silvertip .257 Roberts” ammunition boxes. This lot comprises 57 rounds of ammunition, not all of which are Silvertip. Each cardboard box, predominantly red and yellow with black and white text, is designed to hold 20 centerfire cartridges. Branding includes “WINCHESTER” (Trade Mark) and “SILVERTIP”. Visible text specifies “20 CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGES – STAYNLESS – NON-MERCURIC,” for “WINCHESTER MODELS 54 AND 70 AND OTHER ARMS DESIGNED FOR THIS CARTRIDGE – WITH BULLET TIP PROTECTED BY SILVER COLORED JACKET,” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” Box sides further denote “100 GRAIN EXPANDING” and catalog numbers “W 2572” or “K 2511 C.” One opened box reveals brass cartridges with “W-W SUPER SPEED 257 ROBERTS” headstamps, appearing clean and in good condition.
