Winchester Model 69 Bolt-Action Rifle with 23" Barrel
Description
A Winchester Model 69 bolt-action rifle, constructed from blued steel for the barrel and receiver, with a warm reddish-brown finished wooden stock, and a black checkered composite buttplate. The rifle features a 23″ barrel. Prominent markings on the barrel read: “MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.”, “MODEL 69-22 SHORT – WINCHESTER – 2”, and “NEW HAVEN, CONN. PATENTED AUGUST 23. 1898. LONG AND LONG RIFLE TRADE MARK.” The buttplate is embossed with “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. TRADE MARK” within a circular motif.
Condition report:
Good overall condition consistent with its age. Minor cosmetic scuffs and shallow scratches are present on the wooden stock. Light wear to the bluing is visible on metal surfaces, and some edge wear is noted on the buttplate.
