Description
A vintage Winchester Model 1890 pump-action rifle, constructed from blued steel and wood. The rifle features a tubular magazine beneath the barrel, a grooved wooden pump handle, and a solid stock. Visible markings include “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U. S. A. PAT. JUNE 26. 88. DEC. 6. 92.”, “WINCHESTER” (Trademark), “MODEL 1890”, and “22 LONG” (indicating caliber). The serial number “246075” is present on the receiver and tang. The rifle is missing its ammo tube.
Condition report:
Fair to good for its age. The metal components show significant wear, loss of bluing, scratches, and some surface pitting. The wooden elements display numerous dents, scratches, and finish loss consistent with prolonged use. The rifle is missing its ammo rod.
