Description
This lot comprises two vintage Winchester Super X cardboard boxes, each containing 50 rounds of 25-20 Winchester 86-grain Soft Point ammunition, totaling 100 cartridges. The light gray boxes feature prominent red “WINCHESTER” branding, a “SUPER X” logo with a cowboy on horseback, a silhouette of a groundhog or marmot, and the product code X25202. Bilingual warnings in English and French are present, with the French stating: “AVERTISSEMENT: Gardez hors de la portée des enfants. Lisez tous les avertissements sur l’emballage.” The cartridges consist of brass casings with visible “W-W 25-20” headstamps and lead soft-point bullets. One box displays a partially obscured black sticker over part of the “SUPER X” logo.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear, light staining, and minor creasing consistent with age. The brass cartridges appear bright, clean, and in very good condition with no apparent corrosion or tarnish.
