Description
A vintage cardboard ammunition box, labeled for 50 .32-20 Caliber Central Fire Solid Head cartridges. These cartridges are suitable for Marlin, Colt’s, and Winchester Rifles and were manufactured by The Peters Cartridge Co. of Cincinnati, O., U.S.A. The box features promotional text including “High Velocity, Low Pressure, Clean, Strong, Sure Fire and Accurate.” and “EXCEL ALL OTHERS.” The box contains its full complement of 50 brass-cased lead-bullet cartridges.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is heavily distressed with extensive paper loss, tears, discoloration, and staining. Evident tape repairs are present. The 50 live rounds show significant tarnishing and some corrosion, consistent with age and storage.
