Description
A Remington Model 788 bolt-action hunting rifle, likely dating to the mid-to-late 20th century, with a 21 1/2″ barrel chambered in 6MM REM. caliber. The receiver is marked “Remington MODEL 788” with serial number “A6003519”. The barrel is further marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” and includes proof marks “(R.E.P.)”. The rifle features a blued steel finish and a plain wooden stock with a “Remington” marked buttpad. It is equipped with a black UNIVERSAL 4X32 scope, featuring a standard crosshair reticle, mounted atop the receiver. An accompanying detachable magazine, marked “6MM REM.”, is included. A worn brown leather sling is also present.
