Winchester Model 94 Legendary Frontiersmen Commemorative Lever-Action Rifle, .38-55 WIN, 24" Barrel
Description
A Winchester Model 94 Legendary Frontiersmen Commemorative lever-action rifle, featuring a 24″ blued steel barrel and lever, and a satin-finished or nickel-plated receiver. The stock and forend are crafted from polished hardwood, exhibiting checkering. The barrel is marked “WINCHESTER ® MODEL 94 38-55 WIN. MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL.” The right side of the receiver bears the inscription “MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER,” while the left side is adorned with elaborate scrollwork and engraved scenes depicting an eagle, deer/elk, and a bear. The top of the barrel is inscribed “Legendary Frontiersmen” in script. The serial number “LF04336” is visible on the underside of the receiver. A silver-toned medallion, depicting two historical figures engaged in an interaction, is embedded in the right side of the buttstock.
Condition report:
Very good to excellent condition. Minimal visible wear consistent with light handling. Crisp details throughout.
