Description
A group of vintage Winchester Super-X 250 Savage 100 GR. SILVERTIP® rifle cartridges. The lot comprises four vintage Winchester Super-X cardboard boxes, each designed to hold 20 centerfire rifle cartridges, alongside one open red plastic tray containing twenty cartridges. The boxes feature a white ground with an orange and red striped design, prominently displaying the Winchester logo with a horse and rider silhouette. Text on the box tops includes “WINCHESTER SUPER-X 20 CENTERFIRE RIFLE CARTRIDGES” and “WARNING: Keep out of reach of children. See Warnings on back panel before use.” The sides of the boxes specify “250 SAVAGE 100 GR. SILVERTIP® X2503”, with one box noting “X2508”. The open tray holds twenty brass-cased cartridges with silver-tipped projectiles, consistent with the box descriptions. The bases of the cartridges are visibly stamped “WINCHESTER 250 SAVAGE”. Total quantity: 80 rounds.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show visible signs of age and handling, including creasing, scuffs, and some discoloration. One box has \"3-3\" handwritten on top, and another bears the handwritten numbers \"-135001 E30.37 m\". The cartridges appear in good, aged condition with some minor tarnishing on the brass casings.
