Description
A vintage-style J. Stevens Arms Company single-shot rifle, chambered in .22 LR. It features a warm-toned wooden stock and forend, a blued steel barrel, and a vibrantly case-hardened steel receiver. The rifle is equipped with a modern black-finished Weaver 2-7×32 scope mounted on a Weaver side mount, and a brown leather sling. Visible markings include “TRADEMARK STEVENS REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN.” on the receiver, “J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A.” on the barrel, and the number “442” on the receiver side. It is accompanied by a camouflage-patterned soft gun case.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, showing minor wear and handling marks on the wood and blued surfaces. The case-hardening on the receiver remains vibrant. The modern Weaver scope and mount are in good condition. The leather sling shows minor wear consistent with use.
