A Remington Model 722 bolt-action sporting rifle, featuring a 24″ barrel. The rifle features a blued steel barrel and receiver, paired with a varnished wooden stock. Markings on the barrel read “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTS PENDING .257 ROBERTS”. The receiver is marked “Remington MODEL 722” along with the serial number “74574”. A rear sight by “WILLIAMS” is present. Additional proof marks, including “REP” and “47” near the breech, indicate a manufacturing date of 1947.
Condition report:
The wooden stock displays significant wear, characterized by numerous scratches, dings, and areas of finish loss. The metal components retain their bluing with minor abrasions. Overall used but functional condition.
