Description
A Savage Model 99 lever-action sporting rifle with a 24″ barrel, chambered in .300 Savage. Crafted from blued steel and featuring a wooden stock and forend with checkered panels on the grip and forend. Markings on the barrel and receiver indicate it was manufactured by “SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION UTICA, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” and is “HI-PRESSURE STEEL – PROOF TESTED”. The rifle bears the serial number “417648” and is fitted with an aftermarket black “LIMBSAVER” recoil pad.
Condition report:
Overall good used condition, exhibiting typical wear, scratches, and some finish loss on both the metal and wood components consistent with its age and use. The aftermarket recoil pad is securely fitted.
