Description

A late 19th to early 20th-century Colt New Police .32 double-action revolver, constructed of blued steel with hard rubber checkered grips. The grip panels feature an oval “COLT” logo and a brass-toned grip screw escutcheon. The barrel is marked “COLT D.A. 32” and “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.”, along with patent dates “PAT.AUG.5.84 NOV.6.88 MAR.5.95” (August 5, 1884; November 6, 1888; March 5, 1895). The serial number “12207” is present on the butt, and an assembly number “375” is noted on the cylinder crane. The revolver is accompanied by a fitted light brown leather holster, featuring an embossed floral motif, stitched edges, a belt loop on the reverse, and a metal stud closure.

Condition report:

The revolver exhibits significant wear, with substantial loss of its original bluing, considerable surface corrosion, and patination across its metal surfaces. The hard rubber grips remain largely intact with minor abrasions. The leather holster is well-worn, scuffed, and discolored, but appears structurally sound.
