Description
A vintage advertising thermometer, featuring the iconic ‘Fishing Boy’ illustration by Norman Rockwell for Coca-Cola. This is a Tru Temp® Original Jumbo Dial thermometer by TCA®. The circular dial depicts a boy fishing with his dog while holding a Coca-Cola bottle, clearly signed “Norman Rockwell.” Below the illustration, the prominent “DRINK Coca-Cola” logo is displayed in an oval banner. Encased in plastic with a clear protective face, the thermometer indicates temperatures in Fahrenheit, with a scale ranging from -40°F to 120°F, currently pointing to approximately 75°F. Likely dating from the mid-20th century.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. Minor yellowing and surface wear visible on the outer rim of the plastic casing, consistent with age and use. The thermometer appears to be functioning.
