A Group of Vintage Military and Ammunition Crate Panels with L.C. Smith Guns Ephemera
Description
Three vintage wooden crate panels, comprising one large panel explicitly marked “25 FUZES, BOMB, TAIL, M123A1, H DELAY,” with handling instructions, weight (“WGT. CU. 2.7 LOADED”), and storage directives (“STORE BELOW 120°F TEMPERATURE INDICATORS WITH INSTRUCTIONS ARE CONTAINED INSIDE OF BOX”). The other two smaller panels are from Peters brand ammunition crates, bearing text such as “PETERS SMALL ARMS AMMUNITION,” “PETERS CARTRIDGE DIVISION REMINGTON – PMC COMPANY, INC. BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT, MADE IN U.S.A. 54-13,” and “Rustless SPECIAL POLICE MATCH” in red lettering. Accompanying these is a collection of paper items, including multiple L.C. Smith Guns calendars for 2023, depicting classic shotguns, and a 2022 advertisement/calendar for the same brand.
Condition report:
The wooden components exhibit visible wear, discoloration, and weathering consistent with age and use. The paper items appear in generally good, unfolded condition.
