Description
This item comprises 50 ROUNDS of ammunition within its original vintage Winchester Repeating Arms Co. cardboard box, dated August 1st, 1898. The box is designed for “50 CARTRIDGES” of “.32 CALIBER.” “SOLID HEAD.” “Central Fire.” ammunition, specifically “Exp. essly for Smith & Wesson New No. 32 Cal. Central Fire Revolver.” It features an illustration of a revolver on its green label and is marked “32 S. & W. C. F.” with a “Smith & Wesson” signature on the side. Inside, 50 brass-cased cartridges with lead bullets are neatly arranged, many displaying “W.R.A. Co. 32 S.&W.C.F.” headstamps.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is in fair to poor condition, showing significant wear, scuffing, tears, creasing, and discoloration to the cardboard and printed labels. The cartridges appear to be in good, aged condition with typical patina and minor oxidation on the brass and lead components.
