Description
A Remington Model 4 Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle, chambered for .32 Caliber, featuring a falling-block action and an external hammer. The rifle is fitted with a long, octagonal steel barrel, stamped on the top flat with ‘REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y.’. Additional numeric markings ’32’ and ‘141006’ are visible on the underside of the barrel near the receiver. It is mounted on a dark brown wooden forend and buttstock which display visible grain. The metal components show a worn blued finish, and it is fitted with a metal butt plate.
Condition report:
Good condition commensurate with age. The blued finish on the metal components, particularly the receiver and barrel flats, exhibits notable wear and thinning. The wooden furniture shows numerous minor dents, scratches, and handling marks. The metal butt plate is patinated.
