Description
A Colt Home State Tribute Tennessee Limited Edition Commemorative 1911-style .45 ACP pistol, issued by The American Historical Foundation. The pistol features a highly polished blued metal finish, extensive gold-colored scrollwork engraving, and gold-plated accents including the trigger, hammer, safety, and grip screws. The checkered wood grips are inlaid with a medallion depicting the “STATE OF TENNESSEE” seal. Engravings on the pistol include “IN HONOR OF TENNESSEE”, “1796”, “U.S.A.”, “ONE OF 100”, “The ‘VOLUNTEER STATE'”, “COLTS PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”, and serial numbers “2823272” and “TN016”. The magazine is marked “COLT 45 AUTO”. It is presented in a wooden display case with a glass top and burgundy velvet interior, featuring an internal plaque identifying it as a “HOME STATE® TRIBUTE” “One of 100” “Limited Edition” “ISSUED BY THE AMERICAN HISTORICAL FOUNDATION ASHLAND, VIRGINIA”. A small brass-tone key is included.
