Description
A Winchester Model 1903 .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle, with a 20″ barrel, designed to use .22 auto ammo. Featuring blued steel components and dark stained wooden furniture comprising the stock and fore-end. Markings on the barrel indicate “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT AUG. 27.01.FEB. 25.02.FEB.3.17.DEC.22.03.”, “-WINCHESTER- TRADE MARK”, and “MOD. 1903.22 CAL. AUTOMATIC.”. The serial number “34292” is visibly stamped on both the underside of the receiver and an internal bolt component, with an additional ‘C’ mark present near the bolt. The rifle is equipped with an adjustable rear sight, a blade front sight, and a tubular magazine loaded through a port on the right side of the buttstock.
Condition report:
The apparent condition reflects significant age and use, evidenced by substantial bluing loss, surface scratches, and patination on the metal, alongside numerous dings, scratches, and finish wear on the wooden stock and fore-end.
