Description
An A. Uberti Model 1873 lever-action repeating rifle, featuring a 20″ octagonal barrel and full-length tubular magazine. The rifle is chambered in .45 Colt. The receiver and lever exhibit vibrant case-hardening colors, contrasting with the strong blued finish of the barrel. The stock and forend are crafted from richly grained reddish-brown wood. Markings on the right side of the receiver identify the manufacturer as “A. UBERTI – ITALY”. The barrel is marked “CIMARRON’S REPEATING ARMS. FREDERICKSBURG. TEXAS.U.S.A” and “-KING’S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866.OCTOBER 16.1860-“, with the caliber “45 COLT” also stamped.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent, well-preserved condition. The bluing on the barrel remains strong, and the case-hardening on the receiver and lever displays vivid colors. The wood stock and forend retain a polished finish with minimal visible wear. Mechanically sound.
