Description
An Ithaca Gun Co. over-and-under shotgun, serial number 400767, featuring a highly figured and polished walnut stock and forend with intricate carving and checkering. The steel receiver is extensively scroll engraved and enhanced with gold-colored inlays depicting an eagle, a deer head, and game birds. The receiver is marked “MADE IN U.S.A.” and “ITHACA GUN CO.”. The serial number “400767” is consistent across the receiver and the two accompanying blued steel barrel sets. One barrel set measures 34″ and the other measures 32″. One barrel set is marked “BEST FLUID STEEL” and “2 3/4 CHAMBER” along with “K8629” and “DOVER”. The shotgun’s rubber butt plate is marked “Old English SILVERS PATENT WHITE LINE DEERFIELD, IL”. The lot includes an Americase Premium aluminum carrying case, an orange Bailey Icon barrel insert marked “417”, cleaning tools, a Gunvault lock, and other shooting accessories.
