Mauser Model ES340 Pre-World War II .22 Caliber Single-Shot Training Rifle
Description
A Mauser Model ES340, a pre-World War II .22 caliber, single-shot training rifle developed in Germany by Waffenfabrik Mauser. Considered a high-quality target rifle. This bolt-action rifle features a blued steel barrel and receiver paired with a rich, medium-brown wooden stock. Visible markings on the receiver include “MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N.”, “PATRONE 22 LONG RIFLE”, and the serial number “164679”. Other markings such as “D.R.P. D.R.G.M.” are also present. The bolt handle appears to be bright metal. A “MAUSER” logo is stamped into the metal buttplate and on the top of the receiver.
Condition report:
Used condition, commensurate with age and regular use. The wooden stock exhibits considerable surface wear, including numerous scratches, dings, and areas of finish loss. The blued steel barrel and receiver show wear consistent with age and use. The bright metal bolt handle also shows some wear. The rifle appears to be in generally sound condition with cosmetic wear.
