Three Vintage Winchester & Western Super Speed / Super X Silvertip .257 Roberts Ammunition Boxes
Description
A group of three vintage rifle ammunition boxes, comprising two Winchester “SUPER-SPEED SILVERTIP” and one Western “SUPER X SILVERTIP.” All boxes are marked for “.257 ROBERTS, 100 GR. EXPANDING BULLET.” The bright yellow cardboard boxes feature prominent red branding, product names, and “WARNING Keep out of reach of children” labels. One opened box reveals 20 unfired brass-cased cartridges with silver-tipped, expanding bullets, individually seated in a cardboard tray, with headstamps visible as “W-W SUPER 257 ROBERTS.” The cartridges appear in good condition.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes exhibit significant wear consistent with age, including creasing, fading, surface abrasions, and minor tears. Some handwritten notations and partially torn labels are present. The cartridges within the opened box are in good condition with minor tarnish on the brass.
