Vintage Winchester .303 Savage Soft Point Ammunition Box with 15 Live Rounds
Description
A vintage Winchester Repeating Arms Co. .303 Savage Soft Point ammunition box, manufactured in New Haven, Conn., U. S. A. The box, originally designed for 20 cartridges, contains 15 live rounds. The packaging features printed paper labels detailing “Smokeless Powder,” “190 Grains,” “Metal Patched,” and “Soft Point Bullet,” specified “FOR SAVAGE REPEATING RIFLE.” A “CAUTION” notice with a “Winchester Repeating Arms Co.” signature is also visible. The brass-cased cartridges display “W.R.A. Co.” and “.303 SAVAGE” headstamps. Internal cardboard dividers are present.
Condition report:
The exterior cardboard packaging and labels are in fair to poor condition, showing extensive wear, tears, creasing, discoloration, and staining consistent with age. The 15 live brass-cased cartridges are in generally intact condition with visible tarnishing.
