Description
A vintage Marlin Firearms Co. Model 20 pump-action rifle. The top of the octagonal barrel is marked ‘Marlin Firearms Co. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A.’ and includes patent dates ‘PAT’D AUG. 12, 1890, MAR. 1, 92 JUNE 8, 97, NOV. 29, 1904’, indicating production around the early 20th century. The left side of the receiver is marked ‘Marlin’ and ‘NO 20’. Constructed of blued or patinated metal with a wooden buttstock and a grooved pump-action fore-end. Features a 23″ barrel. Missing One Foregrip Screw
Condition report:
The rifle displays significant wear consistent with age and use. Widespread loss of the original blued finish. Areas of surface rust and pitting are present on metal components. Numerous scratches, dents, and finish loss are visible on the wooden stock and fore-end, particularly noticeable on the buttstock. One foregrip screw is missing.
