Vintage Winchester Silvertip Super Speed .270 Winchester Ammunition, 60 Rounds
Description
A lot comprising three vintage Winchester ‘Silvertip Super Speed .270 Winchester’ ammunition boxes, made in the U.S.A., containing a total of 60 rounds. Two boxes appear largely full and sealed, while one is partially opened, revealing twenty brass-cased, silver-tipped cartridges neatly arranged in a cardboard tray. The red and yellow cardboard packaging is marked ’20 Center Fire Cartridges,’ ‘Stainless,’ ‘Non-Mercuric,’ ‘130 Grain,’ and ‘Expanding.’ The cartridges are noted as adapted for Winchester Models 54 and 70 rifles and feature protection by a silver-colored jacket.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes exhibit significant wear, creasing, and some tears, consistent with age and handling. One box is partially wrapped in clear plastic film. The visible cartridges within the open box appear clean and well-preserved.
