Description
A Colt 3rd Generation 1847 Walker .44 caliber black powder percussion revolver. This modern reproduction features a blued steel barrel and a six-shot cylinder, the latter engraved with a cavalry battle scene and marked “MODEL U.S.M.R.” and “COLT’S PATENT.” The frame displays vibrant case-hardening, complemented by a brass trigger guard and backstrap with a distinctive gold “Sam Colt” signature inlay, and polished wooden grips. Key identifying marks include “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY” and “US 1847” on the barrel/frame, with the serial number “7487” consistently visible on multiple components. The revolver is presented in a “COLT BLACKPOWDER” marked box and accompanied by a group of accessories, including three brass loading tools (a cleaning jag, a powder measure, and a nipple wrench), a bag of lead balls, a bag of felt wads, and a tin of “NUMBER 11 HOT FLASH PERCUSSION CAPS” from “CONNECTICUT VALLEY ARMS.”
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent, near-new condition with minimal signs of use. The accompanying accessories also appear in excellent, near-new condition. The \"COLT BLACKPOWDER\" marked box shows some minor handling wear.
