A Group of Vintage Peters High Velocity .222 Remington and .222 Remington Magnum Ammunition Boxes with Cartridges
Description
A group of five vintage cardboard ammunition boxes, prominently branded “Peters HIGH VELOCITY” and “OU PONT.” The boxes are predominantly blue, yellow, and red, with various labels indicating “222 Remington” or “222 Remington Magnum” caliber, “50 Grain Soft Point Bullet” or “55 Grain Soft Point Bullet,” and “20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges.” All boxes are marked “MADE IN U.S.A.” Some boxes also feature “Kleanbore® Priming” and include a “WARNING KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.” One box is open, revealing twenty brass centerfire rifle cartridges. The visible cartridges are brass-cased with copper-tipped bullets, appearing in good, bright condition, with “222 REM” embossed on their bases.
Condition report:
The cardboard ammunition boxes exhibit considerable wear, fading, scuffs, and some tearing consistent with their vintage age and handling. The visible cartridges appear in good, bright condition.
