Description
A Pedersoli 1874 Sharps falling block rifle, featuring an octagonal blued steel barrel, a case-hardened steel receiver with an external “snail” hammer, and a reddish-brown finished wood stock and fore-end with checkered grip panels. The rifle is equipped with a hooded front sight and an adjustable tang-mounted rear peep sight. Visible markings on the barrel include “SH1765,” “CAL.45,” “PEDERSOLI,” “ITALY,” and “BLACKPOWDER ONLY,” along with a circular manufacturer’s mark. This Italian-made firearm is a replica of the iconic 1874 Sharps rifle, chambered for blackpowder cartridges as indicated by the barrel markings.
Condition report:
Excellent overall condition, with vibrant bluing and case hardening. Minimal superficial wear to the wood and metal components. Mechanically sound.
