Description
This lot comprises one (1) large fixed-blade hunting knife, crafted in the style of an Edge Brand Bowie knife. The robust design features a prominent clip-point blade of polished metal, likely steel, which bears the etched inscription “African Hunter” in a script font, along with “COLUMBIA S.C. U.S.A.” near the crossguard. The handle is composed of two riveted scales made of a light yellow-brown material, resembling bone or antler, fitted with a metallic pommel and a simple metal crossguard. Accompanying the knife is a two-toned leather sheath, primarily dark brown with orange accents and visible stitching, designed with a snap closure.
Condition report:
The set is in fair to poor condition, exhibiting significant signs of age and use. The blade shows numerous scratches, scuffs, and patches of surface rust. The handle is discolored and worn. The leather sheath is extensively cracked, frayed, discolored, and degraded, with its snap closure appearing damaged.
