Description
A Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G. Steyr Model 1952 bolt-action sporting rifle, chambered in Cal. 30-06, featuring a 23 1/2″ barrel. The rifle features a rich brown wooden stock with a checkered pistol grip and forend, a raised cheek rest, and a black ribbed rubber recoil pad. The barrel and receiver are of blued steel. Markings on the rifle include “Steyr – Daimler – Puch A.G. Steyr,” “Made in Austria,” “Original Mauser Schnellfeuer Büchse,” “Mod. 1952,” and “Cal. 30-06,” with serial number 12443 and a “53” stamp, indicating a likely 1953 manufacture. The magazine floorplate is inscribed “Waffen Dschulnigg Salzburg-Austria.” It is equipped with a matching blued Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 3x scope, marked “Made in Germany” and bearing serial number 32957.
