The firearm features a lanyard ring at the butt and exhibits extensive scrollwork engraving on the frame, cylinder, trigger guard, and backstrap. Key visible markings include “BREVETÉ” (Patented) and the serial number “42866” on both the frame and trigger guard, alongside a crown over “EL” proof mark and other smaller, less legible manufacturer or proof marks.
Condition report:
The revolver\'s apparent condition shows significant loss of original finish, widespread patination, and minor surface pitting. The decorative engraving remains discernible. Wear consistent with age and use.
