Description
A P. Beretta S563 EL Gold Pigeon 20 Gauge Over-Under Shotgun, designed in a classic sporting style with modern embellishments. It features highly figured, polished dark wood for the buttstock and forend, both exhibiting finely executed checkered grip panels. The blued double barrels are marked “20 GA. 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. SHOT SHELLS – 28IN.” and “EXCELSIOR-HIGH STRENGTH ALLOYED STEEL.” Visible serial numbers include “19924” and “M93907B”, along with “KG1.080”. The metal receiver is extensively engraved with intricate scrollwork and detailed game scenes, prominently featuring gold-inlaid figures of a dog and a flying duck on the sides, and a gold-inlaid pheasant on the underside. Above the pheasant on the underside, “S563 EL GOLD PIGEON” and “MADE IN ITALY” are inscribed. The brand “P. Beretta” is visible in gold script on the receiver, with additional markings including “Beretta U.S.A. Corp. Acck. MD” and a safety warning. The trigger is gold-colored.
Condition report:
