Description
A Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle, featuring a 26″ octagonal barrel and full-length tubular magazine. The rifle has a dark wood stock and forend, complemented by blued or patinated metal components. Visible markings include ‘MODEL 1894’, ‘WINCHESTER’, a patent date of ‘AUG. 21. 1894’, serial number ‘96608’, and caliber ’38-55′. An additional marking ‘ODIN ALEX VA’ is present on the receiver.
Condition report:
The rifle presents in well-used condition consistent with its age. The wood stock and forend display numerous scratches, dings, and areas of finish loss, including a small chip in the wood on the left side of the buttstock. The metal components exhibit significant bluing loss, patination, and areas of surface pitting.
