Description
A vintage Winchester Model 71 Deluxe lever-action rifle, chambered in .348 W.C.F. caliber, featuring a 24″ barrel. The rifle is constructed from blued steel and dark-stained wood, with checkered panels on the fore-end and pistol grip. Visible markings on the barrel include “MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN.,” and “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL MODEL 71 WINCHESTER 348 W.C.F. TRADE MARK.” A serial number “12213” is present on the underside. The rifle is equipped with a dark brown leather sling.
Condition report:
The item presents in good vintage condition. There is significant loss and patination of the blued finish on the metal components, particularly on the receiver. The glossy wooden stock and fore-end exhibit numerous minor dents, scratches, and finish wear, consistent with age and use. The dark brown leather sling shows notable wear.
