Description
An antique C. Sharps Model 1 four-barrel .22 caliber pepperbox derringer pistol, manufactured by C. Sharps & Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and bearing the patent date of 1859. The pistol features a brass frame, blued steel cluster barrels, and dark wooden grip panels. The frame is clearly marked “C. SHARPS & CO.” and “PHILADA PA”, alongside “PATENT 1859”. A serial number, “19364”, is visible stamped into the brass strap on the base of the grip.
Condition report:
The item exhibits wear consistent with its age, including a noticeable patina on the brass, some loss of bluing on the steel barrels, and minor scuffs and handling marks on the wooden grips. It appears complete and in overall good condition for a historical firearm.
