Description
This lot comprises 80 rounds of Peters High Velocity 250 Savage 100 Gr. Inner-Belted Soft Point Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges, presented in four vintage Peters brand ammunition boxes. The cardboard boxes, primarily in blue, red, and cream, are distinctly marked “PETERS HIGH VELOCITY 250 SAVAGE,” specifying “100 GR. INNER-BELTED POINTED SOFT POINT BULLET” (with minor variations such as “SOFT POINT” or numerical identifiers like “NO. 2570” or “NO. 2568” on some boxes) and “20 CENTER FIRE SMOKELESS CARTRIDGES,” “MADE IN U.S.A.” They also feature the “P” and “DU PONT” logos and a “WARNING KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN” label. One of the boxes is opened, revealing 20 brass-cased, copper-jacketed pointed soft point cartridges, neatly arranged. The visible headstamps on these cartridges read “PETERS 250 SAV.”
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show considerable wear, creasing, scuffs, and discoloration consistent with age and handling. One box is opened. The cartridges inside the opened box appear clean and well-preserved.
