Description
A Remington Model 788 bolt-action rifle, chambered in .222 REM, featuring a 24″ blued steel barrel and receiver. The rifle is fitted with a polished reddish-brown wooden stock, which includes a black synthetic buttplate embossed with “Remington”. Markings on the receiver include “Remington”, “MODEL 788”, and serial number “019586”. The barrel is inscribed “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. .222 REM”, along with “REP” and a “P” in a triangle near the receiver. The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight, an adjustable rear sight, and two scope mount bases on the receiver. It comes with a detachable steel magazine marked “222 REM”.
Condition report:
