Two Boxes of Remington UMC .22 Long RF Lesmok Shot Cartridges, 53 Rounds
Description
This lot comprises two vintage rectangular cardboard ammunition boxes, each labeled “.22 LONG R.F. LESMOK 50 SHOT CARTRIDGES” from Remington Arms-Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Union Metallic Cartridge Works, Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A. The green and black labels prominently display “REMINGTON UMC” branding, featuring a “U” logo within a “22 LONG SHOT” cartridge illustration, and note “Chilled Shot”. The reverse of each box bears a bilingual “GUARANTEE / GARANTIA” in English and Spanish, confirming compatibility with specific firearm manufacturers including Remington-UMC, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Winchester, Marlin, Savage, and Stevens. Internally, each box contains numerous small copper-colored cartridges, many marked with a ‘U’ on their base, alongside a single larger copper cartridge and a white textile wad. The lot contains a total of 53 rounds.
Condition report:
Cardboard boxes show age-commensurate wear, discoloration, and minor tears. Labels are largely legible. Cartridges exhibit moderate tarnishing consistent with age but appear moderately well-preserved.
