Description
A High Standard Supermatic S-101 semi-automatic target pistol, chambered in .22 LR. The pistol is crafted from blued steel with black composite checkered grips, each featuring a stylized bird emblem at the base. Visible markings on the slide include “SUPERMATIC” and “HI-STANDARD”. The frame is marked “HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP. HAMDEN, CONN. U.S.A.” and “.22 L.R.”. The serial number “456135 S-101” is clearly present on the left side. The overall design and markings suggest a mid-20th century production period.
Condition report:
Good condition. The blued finish shows minor wear and surface marks consistent with age and use, particularly along edges and high points. The composite grips are intact with crisp checkering and no apparent cracks or significant chips. The action appears to function smoothly, though not tested with live ammunition. The bore was not inspected.
