Description
A Colt Police Positive .38 caliber double action revolver. This blued steel revolver features a barrel marked “COLT POLICE .38 POSITIVE” and “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” with patent dates including “APR 20, 1897. JULY 4, 1905. OCT 5, 1926.” A Rampant Colt logo is present on the left side of the frame. The serial number “323651” is visible on the cylinder crane. The handgun is fitted with two-piece mother-of-pearl or similar composite grips.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows significant wear, including thinning, surface scratches, and some minor oxidation and pitting on various metal surfaces consistent with age and historical use. The two-piece grips appear largely intact with minor wear.
