Heckler & Koch Model HK 940 Semi-Automatic Sporting Rifle, .30-06 Caliber, with Burris Scope
Description
A Heckler & Koch Model HK 940 semi-automatic sporting rifle. The rifle features a blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver, complemented by a polished, figured wood stock with checkered grip panels. Visible markings on the receiver include “HECKLER & KOCH GMBH OBERNDORF/N MADE IN GERMANY” and “HK INC. ARL. VA 22201”, indicating its German manufacture and U.S. importation. The barrel is marked “30-06” for its caliber and bears the serial number “02109” along with a proof mark resembling an eagle over an “N”. Mounted on a rail system atop the receiver is a black Burris 4.5-14X Fullfield II variable-power rifle scope, complete with Burris-branded lens caps. A decorative, tooled leather sling with metal conchos is attached to the rifle.
Condition report:
The rifle appears in very good to excellent apparent condition, exhibiting minimal signs of wear consistent with light use. The blued finish retains its luster with only minor superficial marks. The wood stock shows a well-maintained finish with no significant scratches or dents. The scope and its mounts are securely attached and appear free from damage. The leather sling shows light wear appropriate for its age and material.
