Description
A Winchester Model 1890 .22 Short Pump Action Rifle, constructed from blued steel and dark-stained wood. The rifle features a tubular magazine, a ribbed pump-action fore-end, and a hammer-fired mechanism. Visible markings include “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U. S. A.”, patent dates “JUNE 26. 88.” and “DEC. 6. 92.”, and “MODEL 1890” on the receiver. The caliber is marked “.22 SHORT” on the barrel, and the serial number “55781” is present on the underside. A worn canvas and leather soft rifle case is included.
