Lot 92:
Description
A group of three German Luger P.08 pistol magazines, constructed from blued steel, exhibiting varied conditions. The leftmost magazine features a bright metal, cross-shaped baseplate marked with “9865” and an eagle-over-swastika proof, indicating a WWII-era German origin. This magazine appears to have a metallic follower. The middle magazine has a black composite, cross-shaped baseplate and generally retains more of its blued finish. It features a reddish-brown composite follower. The rightmost magazine also has a bright metal, cross-shaped baseplate marked with “1” and faintly “P08” on its side, and contains a reddish-brown composite follower. All three magazines are equipped with knurled follower buttons.
Condition report:
Fair to good used condition. The leftmost magazine exhibits significant bluing loss, surface wear, and areas of patination. The middle magazine retains more of its blued finish but shows scuffs and minor scratches. The rightmost magazine has moderate bluing wear. All show signs of age and use consistent with their purpose.
