Zippo D-Day Normandy 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Lighter with Commemorative Tin, 1994
Description
This lot comprises a Zippo D-Day Normandy 50th Anniversary Limited Edition lighter with its original commemorative tin and warranty booklet, issued in 1994. The Zippo lighter features a textured black finish, adorned with a brass-tone shield emblem. The emblem is inscribed with “D-DAY,” “NORMANDY,” and “50 YEARS 1944-1994,” centered by a sword and laurel design. The accompanying gold-tone metal tin displays the identical emblem on its lid, encircled by a border of stars, and is marked “LIMITED EDITION.” The sides of the tin are decorated with various military silhouettes, including soldiers, barbed wire, and aircraft, and bear the text “D-Day Commemorative Lighter,” “Zippo Manufacturing Company,” “33 Barbour Street,” “Bradford, Pennsylvania 16701,” and “Made in U.S.A.” A small paper booklet from Zippo, titled “PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS AND CAUTIONS CAREFULLY” and detailing a “FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY,” is also included.
Condition report:
All components are in very good to excellent condition, exhibiting minimal signs of wear consistent with a well-preserved collectible set from 1994.
